Meet our caring staff...
Below is a list of our staff at Lakewood Animal Health Center.
Crystal grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska. She graduated in 2004 from Northern State University, with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Her greatest passion is animals; she cannot see herself in a career without them. Crystal joined our staff in April of 2007. She considers herself a cat person, and has been dubbed the honorary cat handler/cat whisperer of the clinic! She loves spending time with her 2 kids, relaxing lakeside, and exploring new places.
Tracy joined our staff as a veterinary assistant in 2014. Tracy grew up in Lee's Summit, but also spent time in Texas as a child. She has many talents that include baby talking animals and cooking. She enjoys making crafts, interior design, and cleaning in her spare time. Tracy has 4 children and has owned many animals including goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. Tracy enjoys making sure each pet gets as much personal attention and care as she would expect her own pets to get.
Alisa joined LAHC in October 2017. She loves riding horses and motorcycles in her free time. She is also involved with a dog rescue organization and has 4 rescue dogs of her own. She hopes to attain a degree as a registered veterinary technician in the future. Alisa loves being able to bond and build relationships with the furry patients she meets and their owners.
Registered Veterinary Technicians (R.V.T)
Cassie grew up in Kansas City, MO always surrounded by family and pets. She has worked in the veterinary field since she was 15 and fell in love with the nursing side of veterinary medicine. Cassie graduated from Maple Woods Veterinary Technician Program in 2011. She joined the Lakewood Animal team in January 2013. Cassie enjoys helping clients learn new ways to care for their pets as well as getting to know the patients herself. She spends her free time with her husband, son, and furry companions.
Erin Graduated from Maple Woods' Veterinary Technician Program in 2008. She joined our staff November, 2010. She grew up in Leavenworth, KS, and lives in Kansas City. Erin spends most of her time chasing after her twin boys. She also enjoys attending KU Football games and going to see the Missouri Mavericks. Erin likes working with pets of all ages!
Marci graduated from Brown Mackie college with a technician degree in 2013; she is registered in both Kansas
and Missouri. She is the proud owner of a cat. Marci has many hobbies including sewing, jewelry making, and all things NERDY. She is a self- proclaimed card- carrying geek and loves to work at comic book conventions. She is dedicated to the health and betterment of animals.
Zenetta was originally born in South Africa, but grew up in Fort Smith, AR. She graduated in 2013 from Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in Biology. Zenetta joined our staff in October 2016, and graduated from Maple Woods Veterinary Technician program in 2018. Zenetta loves relaxing with a good book and spending time with her husband and their dog. Zenetta enjoys learning new skills to provide prime healthcare to her patients.
Chassity joined LAHC in 2013. She graduated from the Maplewoods Technician program in 2004. She is married, has 3 beautiful daughters, and several four legged kids. She enjoys being creative and spending time with her family.
Donna has worked in the veterinary field for over 30 years because she loves her job. Donna has a following of clients and patients that have known her for years and appreciate the special attention she gives to each of them. Donna is married with 3 wonderful children. She enjoys spending time with her 3 gorgeous grandchildren. Her ‘babies’ at home include 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Peggy is a native of western Missouri and has lived in Lee’s Summit for 30 years. She has been married for over 30 years. She has a wonderful husband, 6 children, and several grandchildren. She is detailed and conscientious. She enjoys learning something new everyday. She is involved with the local and national Newfoundland Club and actively trains and shows her own Newfoundlands.
Holly joined LAHC as a new patient care coordinator in May of 2013. She has lived in Independence for most of her life and has been in the customer care field for many years. Holly is happily married and is a mother to 9 children! She has recently added grandmother to her title. Her fluffy friends at home include two dogs and two cats.
